MR. EGLESTON PRESENTED A MOTION SECONDED BY MR. PARSONS THAT THE PROJECTS COMMITTEE OF THE HISTORIC LANDMARKS COMMISSION CONVENE IN CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS MATTERS DEALING WITH THE ACQUISITION OF REAL ESTATE.  THE COMMITTEE UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE MOTION.

1.  Update on the Charles E. Barnhardt House.  2733 Country Club Lane, Charlotte, N.C. 

The Committee discussed possible revisions to the offer to purchase the Charles E. Barnhardt House, 2733 Country Club Lane, Charlotte, N.C.

MR. MILLER PRESENTED A MOTION SECONDED BY MR. NORMAN THAT THE COMMITTEE RECOMMEND TO THE HISTORIC LANDMARKS COMMISSION THAT THE FOLLOWING REVISIONS BE MADE TO THE OFFER APPROVED BY THE HISTORIC LANDMARKS COMMISSTION AT ITS MEETING ON NOVEMBER 12, 2016, TO PURCHASE THE CHARLES E. BARNHARDT HOUSE, 2733 COUNTRY CLUB LANE, CHARLOTTE, N.C.: 1) 90 DAY DUE DILIGENCE PERIOD, 2) 30 DAY CLOSING AFTER DUE DILIGENCE SUBJECT TO CONTINGENCIES IN THE CONTRACT, 3) 170 DAYS FROM CLOSING TO COMPLETE THE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE PROPERTY, AND 4) ADOPT OTHER REVISIONS IN THE CONTRACT.  THE COMMITTEE UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE CONTRACT.

MR. NORMAN PRESENTED A MOTION SECONDED BY MR. PARSONS THAT THE PROJECTS COMMITTEE OF THE HISTORIC LANDMARKS COMMISSION RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION.  THE COMMITTEE UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE MOTION.
